Aric Almirola takes home his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win in the Dover 200 By: Tammy Longacre Dove DE - Kyle Busch won the pole for the Camping World Truck Series in the Dover 200. He led the field to the green flag and was a dominant force throughout the entire event. Despite several crashes during the race, he managed to keep the top spot, and he was the truck to beat. A late race caution on lap 199 forced the race into an “overtime”, a green, white checkered finish. As the green flag flew to restart the race, Busch’s #18 Toyota dropped to the apron as he ran out of fuel. Almirola seized the chance to take the top spot and led the field to the checkered flag. He was credited for leading 7 of the race’s 204 laps. Kyle Busch would end up in 18th place after leading 4 times for total of 172 laps. Aric Almirola’s win is the first for him in the truck series after 55 starts. He had to battle back from being 2 laps down to get back on the lead lap after he had a flat tire. James Buescher came home in second followed by Justin Lofton in third, former AMA motocross racer Ricky Carmichael crossed in fourth and Todd Bodine finished in fifth. The win moved Almirola into the top spot in the points standings, followed by Todd Bodine, Timothy Peters, Ron Hornaday and Matt Crafton. The truck series heads to Charlotte for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 this coming Friday.

Kyle Busch Dominates the Heluva Good 200 at Dover By: Tammy Longacre
Dover DE. - Kyle Busch led the most laps, avoided the mishaps and brought home the win this afternoon from the pole start he earned on Friday. Busch had the car to beat, dominating the race as the laps ticked away. The race had five small cautions, including one for debris in turn 1and four for minor accidents or spins.
A green white checkered was attempted on Lap, but the field took the caution before the checker flew, setting up a second attempt to finish the race. When the green flag flew on lap 200, Clint Bowyer, in his attempt to chase the leader down, spun the tires, and Denny Hamlin made contact with him, collecting both of their machines and 7 other of the top contenders. The red flag came out, and all cars were brought to a stop at the exit of turn 4. Bowyer had taken his car to pit road, and during the red flag, his team looked over his car, but had to wait until the yellow came back out to make any repairs.
When the yellow flag was brought back out, Bowyer ‘s team made the repairs to his car and he came back out onto the track. As Bowyer entered Turn 3 by the Monster Bridge, he made a hard right turn and T-Boned Hamlin sending him into the outside wall and ending his day.
Nascar Officials immediately sent Bowyer to the garage area, and requested his presence in the Nationwide Series Official hauler. Media showed Richard Childress embracing Bowyer and it is being reported that radio communication recommend the actions taken by Bowyer.
NASCAR has not announced the final penalty or what further actions they may take. |

Kyle Busch ends Johnson’s winning streak at Dover after a late race error By: Tammy Longacre Dover, DE - Kasey Kahne took off to a great start Sunday, leading the first 26 laps of the Autism Speaks 400, but Jimmie Johnson assumed the top spot at the Monster Mile from him and began his dominance of the field. Johnson, who has won the last 3 races at Dover, had the car to beat as he lapped the tail end of the field. The field was regrouped on lap 54 after Sam Hornish hit the wall in turn 1. Johnson was the fastest off pit road and led the field back to the green flag on the restart at lap 59, but Kyle Busch took back the top spot later. Johnson reeled Kyle back in and regained the lead on lap 85. Kurt Busch gained the lead, from Johnson, during green flag pit stops on lap, and then it goes to Jeff Burton, and right back to Johnson. Marcos Ambrose brought the yellow out at lap 165 when he crashes between turns 3 and 4. The Lowe’s Chevrolet pit crew earned Johnson the top spot, but Kyle came out in second. Johnson falls back to second, as Kyle Busch had a better start, but the familiar 48 was back at the top of the leader board in just a few laps. Ambrose has another tire fail, causing him to crash between turns 3 and 4 again, and the teams jumped onto pit road for fuel and fresh tires. Johnson once again led the field back to the green flag on lap 231 and him and Kyle Busch go back and forth in the top spot. Sam Hornish spins and turn 4, and Matt Kenseth takes a gamble and stays out to take over the lead and gain 5 bonus points. Kenseth brought the field back to the green on lap 250, but Johnson charged his way back up to the top spot and took it away from Matt on lap 261. Kurt Busch slams the Miller Lite Dodge hard into the wall in turn 4, bringing out the 5th caution of the day. Clint Bowyer’s bad weekend at the track, became a little worse, when he drug his jack around the track after pitting under the yellow, and he had to restart at the rear of the field. Johnson and Kyle Busch continued to swap the top spot back and forth after the restart, but after the next round of green flags, Johnson would find himself being penalized for being too fast exiting pit road. The penalty was a pass through pit road, and as a result, he found himself being one lap down on the field. Kyle Busch continued to hold the top spot and on lap 400, he captured the win. Jeff Burton crossed the line in 2nd, followed by Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin and David Reutimann. Johnson ended up in 16th, one lap down, after his pit road mistake.
